Whitley Update
South Reading Churches Funday
The core team have started meeting in preparation for this year’s funday out the front. We have a team of people from the local churches, the local community and SYC. We are meeting fortnightly at the moment to plan the funday.
Royal Mail letter drop
As part of our strategy to get the word out about the funday we decided this year to pay for a Royal Mail letter drop to 9000 local houses. The flyer had the funday on one side and RadioSYC on the other. We are hoping the flyer will help us engage with more people for both the funday and the radio.
Team Retreat
21st-23rd May saw us off on our team retreat! There were 7 of us who spent a lovely weekend at the House of Bread at the Mill in the Cotswolds. We ate great food as we celebrated Gods goodness together, we had some time alone walking the property, sleeping, creating or praying in God’s presence and we enjoyed each other’s company being part of God’s community.
