Whitley Update
Community Dinner
The last Friday of the month is community dinner night. For the last 16 months we have been meeting over zoom for an hour, but the last Friday in June saw us get together in person again! It was a smaller number than pre Covid but it was just great to be back having a meal together again.
Volunteers
It’s been great having Aneta back in the office again on Thursday and Friday afternoons. She also brings a little helper with her after school each day which has been nice as well!
We have had to say goodbye to Zsuzsa our bookkeeper who is moving back to Hungary. She has been with us for 3.5 years and has been such a blessing to work with. We want to thank her for all she has done in serving us over the last years.
Funday out the Front
July 10th is this year’s Funday out the Front and it is all systems go for the team! It’s coming together well with one small funday running at the local community centre for 30 people, various streets and households signed up and hopefully even a few nursing homes involved as well.
Goals and Strategy
We have been working on our goals and strategy for the next 5 years as a team. It’s been exciting to see the things God has placed on our hearts and we are working towards being an established youth and community team in South Reading within the next 5 years. Some of our missional priorities over the next few years include families, coaching, pilgrimage and community presence and youth work.
